Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi

Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi popularly known as IIT, Mandi is the premier institute of higher education located in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. The institute was established in the year 2009, by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) government of India. The institute is one of the eight new IIT setup by the MHRD, govt. of India.

Campus:

IIT Mandi, is located in Kamand area, a place about 12 km from Mandi city. The college campus is spread in an area of over 520 acres along river Uhl in Kamand. The institute is sited in the serene and picturesque Shivalik  ranges of Himalays, away from the hustle bustle of the metro cities.
