All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal is an autonomous institution which was founded in the year of 2012 by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna(PMSSY). This college is approved by MCI (Medical Council of India).
Campus
This institution has a spacious campus located in the southeast corner of Bhopal in Saket Nagar, Bhopal. The campus has been spread over around 154 acres of land which is just behind the Barkatullah University campus.
Facilities
This institution provides hostel facility within the campus for men and women medical and nursing students. Hostel rooms are fully furnished and equipped with all the modern facilities such as indoor and outdoor games facility, security, net connectivity, mess facility, etc. The central library is being under-construction and it is planned to provide online national and international journals, books, databases, etc. It houses a well-equipped auditorium with the seating capacity of 1000 audience. An open air amphitheatre is also attached with the auditorium to conduct open-air events.
Programmes
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal runs a bachelor degree course MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). The duration of this course will be 5 ½ academic years including one year of compulsory internship. This institution also offers B.Sc Nursing course with the duration of minimum 4 academic years. This institution takes admission of 100 students for MBBS course and 60 students for B.Sc. Nursing course.
