IIT, Bhubaneswar

Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar commonly known as IIT, Bhubaneshwar is a central government funded engineering college located in Bhubaneshwar (Odhisa). The college is one of the eight new IIT’s established by the government of India under IIT Act, 2011. The colleges was established in the year 2008, but started its functioning from IIT Kharagpur,  and later shifted shifted to Bhubneshwar and started functioning there from July 2009. The colleges is various courses in graduate and postgraduate disciplines of Engineering and Technology.

Campus:

The college campus of IIT Bhubaneshwar is spread in an area of 936 acres of land located at the outskirt of the Bhubaneshwar city. The college has excellent infrastructure with world class facilities, the college is located in a picturesque surroundings with Barunai Hill located on one side and a reserve forest nearby.

Programs:

IIT Bhubaneshwar is offering various graduate and postgraduate engineering courses in various disciplines of engineering. The admission in the engineering courses is done on the basis of JEE Advance score.

Facilities

IIT Bhubaneshwar has excellent and offers wide range of facilities to the students. The college has well equipped labs and workshops,  spacious and ventilated classrooms, computer centre, well stocked library with huge collection of books and journals. The college also offers sports facilities, separate hostel facility for boys and girls  etc. The college is offering following graduate engineering courses:

 Staff  and Students:

The colleges has well experienced staff with huge experience in teaching and research. The college has 438 undergraduates and 57 doctoral students. The total academic staff in the college is more than 100.

Activities:

The college organizes various events   throughout the year some of these include technical events, sports event, colleges fest, personality development programs etc.

Placement:

The college has a separate training and placement, which coordinates and manages all the training and placement related activities. The T&P cell has a dedicated team of professionals whose job is to arrange for job interviews, invite the companies for campus recruitment programs etc.
