IIEST, Shibpur

Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur commonly known as IIEST, Shibpur is a public institute of research and education in the fields of Engineering, Science and Technology. The institute is situated in Howrah district of West Bengal. The institute was established in the year 1856 and it is recognized as the institute of national importance by the government of India. The institute is also the 2nd oldest engineering college of the country and offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Science and Management.

Campus:

IIEST, Shibpur is located in Howrah city on the western bank of river Hoogli. The institute campus is spread in an area of 123 acres of lush green land. The institute has good infrastructure with good academic and research facilities.

Facilities:

The institute has good infrastructure with well equipped labs and workshops, well ventilated and spacious classrooms, the institute has central computer centre with internet facility for staff and students, the college also has well stocked library with large collection of books and generals.

Activities:

The college organizes various social cultural and technical events in the college from time to time. The college encourage the students to actively participate in various activities for their all round development.
