Homoeopathic Medical College, Abohar
Homoeopathic Medical College, Abohar was formed in the year of 1981 which was inaugurated by Late. Sh. Joginder Pal Pandey then Health Minister of Punjab. It is managed by the Bhai Kanhaya Sewa Socitey (Regd.), Bhatinda. The college is affiliated to the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and approved by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi.
Campus
The college is spread over in an area of 20.5 acres of land. The campus is located in Hanuman-Garh Road, Abohar, Punjab. Within the college campus, there are separate academic blocks, administrative blocks and student’s blocks for each department.
Facilities
There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. The institution has a well-equipped lab with ultra modern equipments. The library of the Institution has a wide rich collection of books, foreign and Indian journals, magazines, reports, projects, thesis, periodicals and newspapers. The Institution also offers sports facilities, reading hall, cafeteria, transport facilities, hospital, conference hall, auditorium and seminar hall. The classrooms are well-established with the audio-visual aids. The college is well-connected with the transportation facility. There is also an Indoor Homoeopathic hospital with 300 OPD daily.
Programmes
Homoeopathic Medical College, Abohar provides Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS). The duration of the programme is 4 ½ Years + 1 Years Compulsory Internship. For BHMS, the Institution offers 70 seats.
Internship
The institution provides the facility of internship after the completion of the 4 ½ years programme. The Internship is compulsory for each student. The time duration of the internship is 1 years on the rotational basis.
