Himalayan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sirmour

Himalayan Institute of Engineering and Technology, (HIET) Sirmour is a private aided co-educational institute of engineering established in the year 2002. The college is located in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh and managed and financed by Maa Saraswati Educational Trust. The college is a unit of Himalyan Group of Professional Institutions and was established with the objective of providing high quality technical education to the students of state. The college is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) and approved by AICTE New Delhi.

Campus:

The college campus of HIET is located at Kala Amb in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh. The college campus is located at a distance 65 kms away from Chandigarh and 145 kms away from Shimla.

Programmes:

The college is offering five courses in the graduate engineering disciplines with the intake capacity of 60 students per branch. The college is also offering courses in a postgraduate engineering discipline. The courses that HIET is offering are approved by AICTE and affiliated to HPU Shimla.

Facilities:

The HIET provides facilities like well equipped labs and state of the art workshops. The college provides spacious and ventilated classrooms, well equipped and air conditioned computer lab, well stocked and fully furnished library having large volumes of books and journals. The college has fully featured communication lab with latest communication equipments to help the students in improving their communication skills. The college also provides seminar room, sports and transportation facility, hostel facility, canteen and mess facility.

Placement:

The Training and Placement cell of HGPI provides many opportunities to the graduating students. The cell consists of a team of highly qualified members having rich experience in training and placement activities. The cell conducts various programs throughout the year to enhance the personality of the students and to make them industry fit. The cell regularly conducts Mock Tests, Mock Interviews, Extempore Talks, Group Discussions, Industrial Visits, Educational Tours and Industrial Training for the final and pre final year students.
