Gupta College of Technological Sciences (GCTS), Asansol

Gupta College of Technological Sciences (GCTS), Asansol was established in 2000. It is offered education in the field of Pharmacy for UG & PG levels. It is the first self-financed college in West Bengal. The college has the approval of AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), New Delhi and affiliated with WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology), Kolkata. The campus of the college is situated in District Asansol, West Bengal.

Campus

The campus holds the all facilities for the students of the college. It has faulty members holding PhD degree and having experience more than 5 years. There is special coaching provides for the GPAT Entrance Exam for the students of the Pharmacy. The library is the information source of the college which covers over 10,384 books covering 1000 titles. It has 18 well-equipped laboratories with advanced instruments like HPLC, FTIR, UV, NIBP, Plethysmometer, Lyophiliser, spectrophotometer and many more.

Facilities

The in-campus girl’s hostel facility is present in the college. For boys there is hostel outside the campus. The college has all facilities regarding the research programs for the students. For research students it has animal house and medical plant garden. It has labs equipped with computers based on modern technologies and connectivity with hi-speed internet connectivity. The enriched library with numbers of books related to the subjects and many reference books.

The Gupta College of Technological Sciences (GCTS) provides the courses in the field of Pharmacy. The available courses are approved by PCI (Pharmacy Council of India), New Delhi. Placement

The training & placement cell arranges Foreign Scholarship and tie up with the US laboratories for research work. It emphasis on research by students through in-house project work. The cell continuously conducts the seminars, conferences, industrial tours and guest lecturers for the development of the students. Every year many students get placed in reputed companies of pharmaceuticals.
