Government Polytechnic, Jaunpur

Government Polytechnic, Jaunpur was established in 1984. The institute was started with only one branch i.e. Diploma in Pharmacy with admission capacity of 40 students but now it is running two other disciplines of Engineering. It is a government institute of technical education in Jagdishpur, Jaunpur, UP. It is affiliated with the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

Campus

The campus of the institute is accessible by road and rail, the closest station being Zafrabad Junction, 2 km (1.2 mi) away. It has the state-of-art infrastructure in which two administrative blocks, a laboratory block, a workshop, an electronics and computer lab, and an on-campus hostel building for the students.

Facilities

The institution has a library enriched with 4663 books, technical magazines; journals and other important source of information are available. There is one resource center having facilities of multimedia projectors. It has sports ground with all equipments like volley ball, football, table tennis, etc. There are some non-academic facilities are also available like hostels, staff residence, medicinal garden, dispensary and power backup system.
