Government Law College, Tirunelveli

Government Law College was established in the year of 1996. This college has an approval of the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi and affiliated with Tamilnadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University. This college starts functioning at the Ponnusamy Pillai Bungalow and it shifted to its own building at Tirunelveli in October, 2000.

Campus

The college campus is located in Tirunelveli, district of the state of Tamil Nadu. The campus has been spread over 15 acres of land just adjacent to the District Court Buildings. The campus comprises of student block, administrative block and hostel block.

Facilities

This college provides hostel facility separately for boys and girls students. Girls hostel is located within the college campus while boys hostel is located 5 kms away from the college building. It has a well-equipped moot hall with power point presentation and internet facility. It houses a spacious and air-conditioned auditorium to organize various co-curricular activities. It also offers e-library, spacious classrooms, seminar hall, computer centre, medical facility, transport facility, etc.

Admission

Admissions in all UG courses (BA. LL.B and LL.B) will be based on academic merit through the counselling procedure. Students who have cleared 10+2 examination from any recognized board are eligible to apply for BA. LL.B course. Candidates should have completed the graduation degree in any stream are eligible for the LL.B (Three year) programme.
