Government Law College, Coimbatore

Government Law College, Coimbatore was started in the year 1979. It is administered by the Tamil Nadu’s Department of Legal Studies and has the affiliation from Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. The college is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi.

Campus

Government Law College has its beautiful in Maruthamalai Main Road, adjacent to Bharathiyar University Post, Coimbatore. Maruthamalai is only 10 kms away from the Coimbatore City in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The campus is surrounded by greeneries and well-networked by roads.

Facilities

The college offers a wide range of facilities and continuously striving for new facilities. The college campus is facilitated with two hostels for male and female students. It has a huge library containing a rich collection of law books. The lecture halls are spacious and creates a perfect ambience for learning. The college also owns its own transport for providing transportation facility to students as well as staff members. In addition to this, the college has well-maintained cafeteria, mess and canteen. Programmes

Government Law College, Coimbatore offers full-time undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes. It regulates 5-years integrated law course , 3-years Bachelor of laws and 2-years master of law (Business law). Admission

Admission to 3-years and 5-years degree law courses will be done based on merit followed by counselling. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s academic performance in the qualifying examination. Only eligible candidates will be considered for admission.
