Government Engineering College, Idukki
Government Engineering College, Idukki, popularly known as GECI is an engineering college located in Painavu city in Idukki district of Kerala. The college was established in the year 2000 under the DTE Kerala government. The college was established with the objective of providing engineering education to the students of Kerala. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
Campus:
GECI, Idukki is spread in an area of 25 acres of land at Kuyilimala near Painavu town of Idukki district. The college campus is located in a scenic location having lush green environment and pleasant atmosphere. GECI is well connected to near by cities by fast and frequent transport facilities.
Facilities:
The college has decent infrastructure, with all major facilities like well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and ventilated classrooms, computer centre with internet connectivity, well stocked library with good connection of books and journals, separate hostel facility for boys and girls, canteen and mess facility etc.
