Government College of Technology Coimbatore
Government College of Technology is a non-minority and co-educational college was established in the year 1945. College was known as Arthur College of technology in starting but in 1951 it renamed in Government College of Technology. Chief Minister of state is the president of this college.College is affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE- All India Council of Technical Education.
Campus:
Government College of Technology is situated at Thadagam Road surrounded by farms environment in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. College is well-connected by roads, air and rail and easy accessible from all major cities of the country.
Programmes:
Government College of Technology conducts 13 under graduate, 11 post-graduate and 5 doctoral degree courses in engineering and technology, and science and humanities in full-time and part-time both format. Read More >>

The college has around 4800 students in all departments as 3600 are pursuing UG courses and 1200 are pursuing PG courses. The campus has more than 155 faculty members from all departments.

The college provides facilities & amenities as per AICTE norms. College provides well furnished separated hostel for boys and girls, staff quarters, auditorium, bank, stores, medical facility, canteen, post office, vast library, well equipped labs and transport facility.
Activities:
The Administration of Campus has developed various students’ associations and clubs. These associations and clubs administer and run various students’ activities like technical, cultural and social activities.
