Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology (GCETTB), Berhampore

Government College of Engineering and Textile Techmology (GCETTB), Berhampore is one of the famous co-educational institute, recognized by the Department of Higher Education, formerly known as the College of Textile Technology, situated in Berhampore, Murshidabad district of West Bengal.Initially, the institute has been started as a Government Silk Weaving and Dyeing Institute, further many other courses were introduced in the institute. Also, GCETTB has received the accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA in the field of Textile Technology.

Campus

Berhampore is situated at the bank of Bhagirathi River and approx 200 km to the north of Kolkata. The campus of the institute is about 1 and ½ km away from the bus and railway station. Bus and railway facility will be there to reach the campus of GCETTB.

Facilities

The campus is provided with the library containing the books in a large number of about 12,600 in various courses. The hostel facility is available for boys only with fresh and hygienic food, high-class gym, well maintained playground, and many indoor/outdoor games. Students also take the advantage of TV and newspapers/magazines available in the common room.
