Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu
Government College of Engineering and Technology, (GCET) Jammu was established in the year 1994. The college is one of the oldest institutes of engineering in Jammu district. The college was inaugurated by the Hon. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, General K.V. Krishna Rao on 5th October, 1994. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to University of Jammu.
Campus:
The college is located at Chak Bhalwal, in Jammu. The college campus is well built covering all major facilities, and located in a serene and peaceful environment, enabling students to have a good focus on their studies. The college is well connected to roads and situated at some distance from railway station, approaching to the college is easier by any means of transport.
Programmes:
The GCET Jammu is offering undergraduate engineering courses in five disciplines leading to the degree of Bachelor of Technology. The college has sufficient infrastructure, providing all major facilities to the students having well equipped labs, spacious and ventilated classrooms, a library having good collection of books and journals, weekly magazines and daily newspapers, computer lab having internet connection and well equipped hardware and software, the other facilities provided by the college are hostel facility, transportation and sports facility.
