GITAM Institute of Technology, Visakhapatnam

GITAM Institute of Technology (GIT) was established in the year 1980 as a private and self-financing institution. It has awarded as the autonomous institution in 2003 approved by the UGC and in the year 2007, it has become a constituent institution of the GITAM Deemed University.

Campus:

The GIT is sited on the Vishakhapatnam campus of the GITAM University. The campus has six institutes as GITAM Institute of – Technology, Science, Management, Architecture, Pharmacy and Law. The campus is situated in Gandhi Nagar at Rushikonda in Vishakhapatnam, the district of AP.

Programmes:

The GITAM Institute of Technology is conducting 9 UG programmes, 15 PG programmes and 2 integrated engineering programmes in the field of engineering and technology. The college also offers the PhD programme in eight engineering disciplines. Read More >>

Faculty:

At present, the campus has 436 faculty members in all departments. More than 250 faculty members are having the PhD degree in their respective fields.

Facilities:

The campus provides the separate library with huge number of books, separate hostel for boys & girls, health care facility, bank & ATM, sports facility with physical education, canteen, laboratories & workshops, computer centre, language lab, auditorium, seminar hall and transportation.

Activities:

The campus organizes the club activities, cultural activities, sports activities, literary activities and technical activities. The campus organizes the seminars, workshops, industrial visits and educational tours.

Placement:
