Ganpat University, Mehsana
Ganpat University has been established in the year 2005 by the Mehsana District Education Foundation (MDEF) as a private University. The Ganpat University is a member of the Association of Private University, India. The GU is approved by the UGC and the state government of Gujarat. The courses are approved by the AICTE, MHRD and DTE-state government of Gujarat. The University has various faculties including Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Management Studies, etc.
Campus:
The GU campus is situated in the Ganpat Vidhyanagar on the Mehsana – Gozaria Highway in Village Kherva in District Mehsana, Gujarat. The GU campus is spread over in 300 acres of developed land of the Educational hub named Ganpat Vidhyanagar developed by the MDEF. The GU campus comprises with 11 separate educational departments/schools. The GU campus is 12 km away from the Mehsana City, 65 km from Ahmedabad City and 45 km from the Gandhi Nagar City.
Students, Faculty & Staff:
The GU offers more than 2400 seats as the annual intake for admission in all programmes. Beside the visiting and guest faculty, the GU has more than 150 faculty members and more than 60 non-teaching staff from all departments.
Facilities:
The GU campus has a Nursery run by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra and founded by the MDEF. The campus has a fleet of 30 buses for transportation, an open air theater, bank, ATM, post office, shopping centre, cafeteria, sports facility and separate accommodation for boys and girls.
Activities:
The GU campus is conducting a programme named Ganpat Volun Teacher Movement. Through this programme the teachers march towards the villages on every Sunday and touch several hundred of children for uplift their living and awareness about education and social behavior. The campus organizes various sports and extracurricular activities.
