Galgotias University (GU) is a fully government University was established in the year 2011 on the foundation of three colleges of Galgotias Institutions which were promoted by Smt Shankuntla Education and Welfare Society. College is established and approved by UGC and state government of Uttar Pradesh. University is accredited by AICTE, PCI, Bar Council of India and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. University is recognized under UP Board of Technical Education. The University regulates school of law, school of business, school of engineering, school of medical & allied sciences and many more for imparting education in the respective discipline.

Galgotias University is situated on Yamuna Expressway connecting Noida and New Delhi at sector-17-A in Greater Noida district of UP. Campus is 90 km away from Delhi airport, 60 km from Delhi railway station and 60 km from Ghaziabad railway station. Campus is well connected by local rail, taxi and buses to nearby cities.
