Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) is a private, co-educational and self financed institution was established in the year 1999 by Smt Shankuntla Education and Welfare Society. College is affiliated to Gautam Budh Technical University, Lucknow (Formerly UP Technical University). College is approved by AICTE and MHRD- Ministry of Human Resource and Development, New Delhi. College is recognized by Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education and State Government of Uttar Pradesh.
