G.D.Memorial Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Patna was founded in the year of 2001 by Dr. Ramjee Singh a veteran Homoeopath, a leading practitioner and educationist of Homoeopathy. The college is constituted under the G.D. Memorial Foundation trust. College is approved by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi. It is affiliated to the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The college is recognized by the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and the Government of Bihar.
Campus
The college campus is located in East Ramkrishna Nagar in Patna that is the capital of Bihar state. The campus is well-connected by road, railway and air transportation. The Campus has a separate block for each department of the college. The GD Memorial specialties Hospital is attached to the college campus to impart clinical teaching to the students.
Facilities
The departments of the college are well-equipped with models, laboratory instruments and other teaching aids materials. The college also offers the facilities of outdoor and indoor games, yoga center, seminar hall and well-established classrooms. There is a separate accommodation facility available for both boys and girls. The college also maintains an exhaustive Library for both the teacher faculty and students. The Library has a wide collection of reference books, periodical, magazines, newspapers, reports, etc.
Programmes
G.D.Memorial Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Patna offers Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). The degree course of BHMS is comprised over a period of 5 ½ years. It includes one year duration compulsory internship after passing the final degree examination. There are 100 seats offered by the college for BHMS programme. After successful completion of the Internship, on the recommendation of the Principal the BBA Bihar University issues the degree certificate to the candidates of the BAMS.
