Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies (DILS), Burdwan came into existence in the year of 2006. The institution is affiliated to the University of Burdwan, West Bengal. The law courses are approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The Institution is run by the Durgapur Social & Educational Trust.
Campus
The college campus is located in Phase–II, City Center near Gandhi more, Durgapur, Burdwan, West Bengal. The college has world-class infrastructure that consists of the different students, administrative & academic blocks.
Facilities
The library has a wide range collection of general and special subjects comprises of textbooks, reference books, reports, back volumes of journals & periodicals such as All India Reporter, Indian Bar Review, Current Indian Statutes, etc. The college provides separate hostel accommodation for boys & girls with the facility of mess, 24 hours security, etc. There is moot court room for practical training & improve advocacy skills of the students. Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies, Burdwan offers Bachelor of Law (LLB), Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Law (BA LLB (Hons.)) & Master of Law (LLM). BA LLB (Hons.) is five years integrated course, LLB is three years duration course & LLM is two-year duration programme.

Admission
Students will get admission into BA LLB (Hons.), if they complete their 10+2 examination in any stream. For admission into LLB programme, students have to pass the graduation degree (10+2+3) with any discipline. Students have to secure at least 45% marks in case of general category & 40% marks in case of SC/ST category in the qualifying examination. Those students seek admission into LLM programme, they have to qualify a law graduate degree with minimum 50% marks. The admission into law courses will be based on the LSAT.
