Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar

Dr. Harisingh Gour University was founded in the year of 1946 by Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour. This university was formerly known as University of Saugor. It is a central university which approved by UGC (University Grants Commission). This university accredited with “A” grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).

Campus

The campus is located in the Sagar district of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The campus is situated 5 kms east of Sagar City and the campus has been spread over 1312.89 acres of land. The campus is well-accessible by all modes of transport.

Facilities

This university provides hostel with mess facility for boys students. Hostel rooms are fully furnished and equipped with all the amenities. It houses a spacious library stocked with the good collection of rare manuscripts, reference books, journals, magazines, periodicals and many others. This university houses football ground, cricket ground, hockey ground, gymnasium, etc. to provide indoor and outdoor sports facility. Major facilities are well-equipped laboratories, hygienically maintained canteen, medical facility, resource centre, etc.
