Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Bangalore

The Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT), Bangalore was set up in the year of 2001. The Institution is affiliated to the Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Campus

The Institution is situated on Kumbalagodu, Mysore Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The campus is sprawling in 36 acres of land in the Bangalore-Mysore National Highway. The DBIT has an excellent imposing building with the separate students and administrative blocks.

Facilities

The DBIT has a well-stocked digital library with the huge gathering of 38111 books, 896 bounds volumes, 881 Project Reports, 13139 e-books, 6197 e-journals and 1572 CD/DVDs. There is a mess, transportation, gymnasium, indoor-outdoor sports, internet , ATM and counselling center facilities. The Institution also has a spacious and hi-tech Classrooms with the facility of audio-visual and LCD Projector. There are also a state-of-the-art laboratories with the modern equipment’s. The Institution provides the facilities such as computer labs, separate hostel for girls and boys, Cafeteria and music hall.

Don Bosco Institute of Technology provides two years duration Master of Business Administration (MBA). MBA is a four semester programmes. It offers various specializations that are given here.

Placement

The DBIT has established a training and placement cell with a view to act as an interface between the students and the industry. The Placement cell arranges mock exercises, aptitude test, group discussion, personal interview and Pre-placement training programmes. The T & P cell takes care of honing the minds of the students to face the corporate world with the desired skills, confidence and courage. The major recruiters of the Institution are Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Wipro, Apollo, DELL, IBM, Infosys and etc.
