DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Palamu

DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Palamu, is a private aided engineering college located in Palamu district of Jharkhand. The college was established in the year 2008 under the aegis of the DAV College Managing Committee under the joint venture with government of Jharkhand. The college is the first degree level engineering institute started by the DAV College Trust and Management Society in Jharkhand. The college is approved by AICTE and Affiliated to Nilamber-Pitamber University, Palamau (Jharkhand).

Campus:

The college is located at Medinagar in Palamu district of Jharkhand state. The college campus is situated in the lap of enchanting hills and Lush green forest area of Betla National Park providing a peaceful learning environment to the students.

Facilities:

The college has well equipped labs and workshops, WI –Max enabled campus. The college has e-classrooms with LCD projectors, and electromagnetic digital board facility, a rich library having a good collection of books and journals, a fully equipped computer centre with well equipped hardware and software. The other facilities include transport facility, canteen and mess facility and separate hostel facility for boys and girls.

Programmes:

The college is offering four courses in the graduate engineering disciplines; the college is also offering various courses in science and humanities. The courses offered by the college are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Nilamber-Pitamber University. The courses offered by the college are listed below:

Placement:

The college has a separate Training and Placement cell, so as to look after the activities relating to training and placement. The cell also helps students in grooming their personality by organizing various personality development programs. The students of the college are working in the following companies: Dell, ICICI Bank, Nokia Siemens, Wipro etc.
