College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur

College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur was established in 1979. It is affiliated to Biju Pattanaik University of Technology (BPUT). The courses are approved by all India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. It is located in the Mohuda, Berhampur, Odisha.

Campus

Presently, this institution is located at Mohuda, in very spacious land of 23 acres, which is around 7 kms from Berhampur town. Berhampur is on the Howrah-Chennai main line, which is well connected by rail & road. Bhubaneswar is the nearest Airport, which is around 170 kms by road/rail.

Facilities

The college is well-equipped with laboratories, lecture halls, seminar halls, instrument unit and computer unit, etc. It has all required amenities for the pharmaceutical laboratory. It has well-furnished library with around 8000 books and more than 37 journals (National / International), periodicals, internet access and photo copy facilities. It has also modern computer labs with 51 computer system, hostels, transport and many more facilities.

Programmes

The college has introduced M.Pharma Courses since the academic session 2000-01. At present, the college provides the UG and PG courses. The UG course is of four years duration with 100 maximum intake capacity and PG course of two years of duration with 46 maximum capacities in total of four branches.

Placement

The students are sent to various Pharmaceutical Industries during the course work for a practical exposure. The placement is arranged through career counseling networks and campus interviews. The college also conducts the job fair for the students to get interacted with various industries.
