College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bhubaneswar

The College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar popularly known as CET Bhubaneswar was established by the Government of Odisha in 1981 to provide the technical education to the youths of the state. It was a Constituent College of the Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar since foundation, after some time the College has become a Constituent College of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). The institute wants to become a leading institute serving technical education. The mission of CET is to provide quality technical education and making a good human value system in a student.

Campus

The CET has Techno-campus in more than 100 Acres land area at Kalinga Nagar, Bhubaneswar. The campus is about 2.0 Kms away from Khandagiri-Udayagiri caves. The CET campus has Academic & Administrative Blocks with four-stored buildings, hostels, gym, and sports complex.

Facilities

The institute has all the minimum facilities that a technical institute should have. The facilities at Techno-campus of CET includes Separate hostel facility for boys & girls, Well stocked library, State of the art laboratories, Central workshops, Canteen, Gymnasium, Indoor & Outdoor sports facility, Banking facility, Post office, Dispensary.

The College offers a five year Under Graduate degree courses in Architecture (B.Arch) and four years B.Tech Degree. A three year Post Graduate course, Master in Computer Application (MCA) and M. Tech course is also offered. Following are some programmes and their branches:

As the CET wants to emerge as the global institute in technical education so the institute is doing initiative for placement of their students, they have a placement cell which helps students by conducting different personality development programmes, seminars, group discussions, etc. The companies who have recruited students from CET are HCL, I-flex Solutions, Microsoft, Syntel, L&T, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Birlasoft, Capgemini, Jindal Steel.
