College of Agricultural Engineering & Post-Harvest Technology (CAEPHT), Sikkim

The College of Agricultural Engineering & Post-Harvest Technology (CAEPHT) was established in the year of 2006 by Central Agricultural University (CAU). It is approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. The college is measured among the top three colleges under the UGC-ICAR system.

Campus

The CAEPHT is located at Ranipool, Gangtok on NH 31A that is connected with Siliguri in West Bengal to Gangtok. The College is well connected with the facility of Rail (120 kms), Road and Air (124 Km). The campus is spread around an area of 4.68 hectares.

Facilities

The college provides the facilities of workshop, computer and internet facilities, auditorium, gymnasium and medical facilities. The college also gives hygienic and nutritive food in its cafeteria. There is a separate hostel facilities for boys and girls and college staff. There is also a well equipped library with lots of books and Journals.

Programmes

The College of Agricultural Engineering & Post-Harvest Technology (CAEPHT) only offers undergraduate (UG) programmes in the field of engineering.

Placement

The CAEPHT has a dedicated Training and Placement cell. The placement cell guarantees the 100% placement of the students in the reputed companies. The T & P cell arranges different classes of quantitative aptitude and personality development skills for the students. The placement cell also offers training classes for the students such as guest lectures, workshops, industrial visits and seminars.
