College of Engineering Roorkee (COER) was started from the year 1999 as a private and self-financed institution set up by Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust. The COER is affiliated to the UTU and SDS University, Uttarakhand. The campus is approved by the AICTE and MHRD and Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education. The COER is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution.
Campus:
The COER campus is sited on the Roorkee – Haridwar National Highway-58 in Village Vardhmanpur at Tehsil Roorkee in District Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The COER is 6 km away from the Roorkee City and 11 km from the Roorkee Railway Station. The campus is spread over in 75 acres of land.
Programmes:
The COER is offering the B.Tech degree programme in seven branches of engineering and technology affiliated to the UTU, Dehradun. Students:
The COER campus is offering the 1170 seats for admission as the annual intake in all programmes.
Facilities:
The campus is providing the lecture halls, conference hall, computer centre, library, laboratories, auditorium named ‘Vardhman’, hostel accommodation, mess, health club, medical centre, student centre, bank and saloon. The college provides the student insurance.
Activities:
The COER campus organizes the cultural activities named ‘Oorja’ which is conducted by the SPIC MACAY. The college celebrates “Sports Vaganza” every year with an object to make fit the students. The college organizes the literary activities and publishes the magazine and newsletter every year named ‘Saaransh’ and ‘Muccur’.
Placement:
