College of Agriculture, Nagpur
The College of Agriculture, Nagpur is one of the oldest colleges in the country established in the year 1906 by the British Government. The college is affiliated to the Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vishwa Vidyalay and approved by the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research). The aim behind the opening of college is to develop agriculture technology, educate, train and generate specialized agricultural experts and to cater the needs of the local farming community.
Campus
The College of Agriculture, Nagpur is one of the first five agriculture colleges in the country. The College is held at historic and heritage Victoria building at Maharajbagh, Nagpur. The campus is well-connected with air, rail and road ways. The college of agriculture is situated in the Nagpur city. The college campus is 6 km from airport, 2 km from railway station and 4 km from bus stand.
Facilities
The college’s infrastructure is well-furnished with all modern facilities. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students. All the classrooms of the college are well-furnished with all modern facilities. The college is well-equipped with all modern instruments. The college has a vast collection of books, journals etc for enhancing the existing knowledge of their students in the college library. The college provides hostel facilities for their students.
