Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore

Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore is the prominent institution of medical established in the year 1900 by an American Missionary, Dr Ida S. Scudder. It is the educational and research institution affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. CMC Vellore has been ranked among the top medical colleges of India.

Campus

There are two campuses of the college situated in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The main campus of Christian Medical College is located at the heart of Vellore city and the location of another campus is at Bagayam. It is about 7 km away from the main campus.

Facilities

It also has electronic resources like e-journals, e-books, etc. The accommodation facility is also provided to the students of the college. The lecture halls and classrooms are well-established and furnished with audio-visual aids. Programmes

Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore offers undergraduate course in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). It is one of the most trending programme among the medical students. The study for this course will consist of five and a half year followed by one year of internship. The degree will be awarded on the successful completion of the course. Currently, the college offers 150 PG courses in different fields including PhD courses.
