Chhotubhai Gopalbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Surat

Chhotubhai Gopalbhai Patel Institute of Technology (CGPIT) is a constituent institution of the UKA Tarsadia University, Surat. It is a private and self-financed and private institution which was started the functioning in 2009 by the Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal (BPKM). The institution is affiliated to the UKA Tarsadia University and approved by the State Directorate of Technical Education, AICTE & Ministry of HRD and Government of Gujarat.

Campus:

The CGPIT is situated in Maliba campus under the roof of the UTU. The Maliba campus is sited on the Bardoli – Mahuva Road in Gopal Vidyanagar, Bardoli in Surat, the district of Gujarat. The Maliba campus is 8 km away from the Bardoli Railway Station and 35 km equally far from the Surat Railway Station and Airport.

Programmes:

The CGPIT is conducting the Diploma programme in two engineering branches, UG degree programme in seven engineering branches and PG degree course in six specializations in engineering & technology.

Students & Faculty:

For the admission in all programmes, the college is offering the 888 seats as the annual intake. All departments strengthen with 120 faculty members and 19 non-teaching staff.

Facilities:

The CGPIT campus provides the separate hostel facility for boys & girls, canteen, auditorium with LCD projector, photocopier, stationery store, playground, transport facility, computer centre, central library, laboratories & workshops and indoor & outdoor sports facility.

Activities:

The campus organizes technical activities & festivals as “science clone” & “anantyam”. The college participates in sports event, co-curricular activities and extracurricular activities.

Placement:

The campus has been established an Institute Industry Interaction Cell which has collaborated with many industries to facilitate the internship, industrial visits, guest lectures and job placement for the students.
