Chaudhary Charan Singh University (formerly Meerut University) was founded in 1965. The university is established to cater the needs of higher education in western Uttar Pradesh. It is the first university which introduced M.Phil and Ph.D programme in 1969 in its campus. It is a public University and approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). The university is also accredited with AIU and NAAC.
Campus
The pollution free environment of the university is spreads over an area of 222 acres of land. The teaching department has different faculties, in a spacious buildings and have well-equipped laboratories anwww.ccsuniversity.ac.ind advanced facilities. The university has a separate engineering college. It has many institutions and colleges which are affiliated to this university.
