Burdwan Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital was established in the year 1978. The institution offers courses in medical education at the undergraduate level. The institution is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and approved by Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH).

This was the only college in West Bengal who got permission to run the graded Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) course of two years duration under the University of Burdwan and the West Bengal University of Health Sciences.
