Bimal Chandra College of Law, Murshidabad
Bimal Chandra College of Law (BCCL), Murshidabad came into existence on 5th October, 2002. The college is approved by the Bar Council of India, Government of India, New Delhi. It is affiliated to the Kalyani University, West Bengal. BCCL is managed by Bimal Chandra Shinha Law College Trust.
Campus
The college campus is located on the Dohalia Bypass, District Murshidabad, Kandi, West Bengal. The college has an excellent infrastructure which comprises of separate administrative, academic & students blocks. The campus is well-connected with the road transportation.
Facilities
The college has a well-managed library with a good collection of reference books, textbooks, back volume of journals & reports, etc. There is a well-equipped moot court room to improve the advocacy skill & communication skill of the students. The college also organizes regular visit to the District court, High court & Supreme Court. Other facilities offered by the college are; well-maintained classrooms, canteen, computer lab, playground, medical, seminar hall, etc.
Programmes
Bimal Chandra College of Law, Murshidabad imparts five years integrated law course, i.e. Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Law (BA LLB (Hons.)). There are 80 seats available for BA LLB (Hons.) degree programme.

Admission
Student has to pass Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination to get admission into BA LLB Programme. Student has to secure at least 45% (General Category) or 40% (SC/ST Category) in aggregate. The age limit should be 20 years as on 1st day of July. There is two years age relaxation for SC/ST students. Students will get direction admission in this college after the announcement of Higher Secondary Examination, West Bengal result. The admission will be based on the student’s marks at the qualifying examination according to the admission rule of the university.
