Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology, (BGIET) Sangrur is a private aided engineering college established in the year 2002. The college is located in Sangrur district of Punjab. The college is established under the aegis of Bhai Gurdas Technical Education Trust. The college is imparting goal based, quality based and value based education through state of the art learning technologies. The college is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), and approved by AICTE New Delhi. The college is offering pedagogy in engineering and agriculture field. The college has collaboration with many international universities like Wayne State University, Asian Institute of Technology, Washburn University, Kansas, USA.

Campus:

The BGIET is located at main Patiala Road in Sangrur district of Punjab. The college is fully equipped with all major facilities, providing fully Wi- fi enabled campus and state of the art infrastructure. The college is well connected to road and railway station located at some distance from the college.

Programmes:

The college is offering seven courses in graduate and five courses in a postgraduate engineering discipline. The total intake capacity for the undergraduate courses is 590 and for the postgraduate courses 144 seats. All the courses offered by the college are approved by AICTE and affiliated to PTU. The college offers full time 4-years B.Sc in Agriculture.

The major facilities provided by the college include fully WI-fi enabled campus with high speed internet connectivity of 12mbps, separate hostel facility for boys and girls the hostel ensures the safety, security, and convenience of the students. The college provides canteen and cafeteria facility to the students, the other facilities provided by the college include gymnasium, transport, banking, the college also provides an inbuilt shopping complex to meet the daily needs of the students.

The college has an active Training and placement cell which help the students in their training and placement activities and organizes many placement drives and campus recruitment programs, to place the students of BGIET in the renowned companies of the world. The main objective of the cell is to place the maximum number of students in the leading companies of the world. The cell conducts various programs to enhance the overall personality of the students. The major recruiter of the college includes IDBI, Infosys, TCS, Oracle, HDFC, Birla Sun life etc.
