Barkatullah University (BU), Bhopal is the renowned educational University established in the year 1970. BU provides affiliation to many colleges of Bhopal district. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). BU has been accredited as B category university by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The law courses offered by the BU has been approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The college has the department of Pharmacy which offers B.Pharma and M.Pharm programmes.
Campus
The campus of Barkatullah University (BU) is huge and covers the area of around of 360 acres of land. It is situated in Hoshangabad Road, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The college is located along Jabalpur-Jaipur National highway(NH-12) at a distance of about 3 kms from Habibganj Railway Station.
Facilities
The University campus consisting of functional administrative block, academic building of various departments and hostel block. The campus is fully residential as it has staff quarters as well as 4 hostels for boys and one hostel for girls. The University accommodates a guest house, an air-conditioned auditorium and a playground. It has a well-established library housing nearly 75000 books, 5703 thesis, 3000 Research magazine and 60 Sanskrit MSS. The students of the University are also involved in various cultural activities that have been organized within the campus.

Admission
Barkatullah University (BU), Bhopal offers admission to its law courses on the basis of the qualifying examination. For admission to the B.A.LL.B. programme, one must have passed intermediate examination from any recognized University with minimum 45% aggregate marks. 3-year law graduates can apply for the 2-years LL.M. programme.
