Babe Ke Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital (BKAMCH), Moga is self-financed ayurvedic medical college that was founded in the year of 2002. It is affiliated to the Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur. The college is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, Govt. of India.
Campus
The college is located in the village Daudhar, District Moga, Punjab. BKAMCH campus is spread in an area of 10.5 acres of land. The hospital is associated with the college campus. The campus is well-connected with the Ludhiana- Ferozepur National Highway.
Facilities
BKAMCH has a separate hostel accommodation for both girls and boys. There is a computerized library with the provision of a peaceful reading room having a wide collection of books, newspapers, periodicals, reports, magazines, reference books and Indian research journals. The college also has a well-equipped audio-visual room with the latest teaching equipments such as OHP, DVD Player, LCD Projector, Slide Projector facilities. There is also a hi-tech computer lab with the provision of 20 computer sets along with the internet facility. Other necessary facilities that are offered by the college are well modernized machinery and equipments workshops, transport facility, indoor and outdoor sports facility, canteen, etc.
Programmes
Babe Ke Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital (BKAMCH), Moga offers 5 ½ years of the under graduate programme Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). There are 60 seats available for the BAMS programme including 30 Govt. and 30 Management seats (including NRI and Special Management Quota). BAMS programme include 4 ½ years of the main course and 1 year of rotatory internship.
Internship
The college provides 1 year practical training in the form of a rotatory internship for the students of BAMS after the completion of the 4 ½ year’s main courses. The college offers internship in the associated hospital. The internship programme includes clinical rotation programs, pharmacy visits, hospital visits, herbal garden visits, laboratory training and operative training.
