Assam Institute of Management, Guwahati

Assam Institute of Management (AIM), Guwahati is an autonomous institution founded in the year of 1988 by the Government of Assam. This institution was set up to regulate and promote the professional management in North East India. It also has an approval of All India Council for Technical Education for its PGDM programme.

Campus

This institution has a lush green and sprawling campus located in Guwahati, Assam. The campus is well accessible through the transportation facilities. The campus is equipped with remarkable infrastructure and surrounded with greenery and serene environment.

Facilities

This institution provides accommodation facilities to their students (separately for boys and girls). It houses a library equipped with the wide collection of over 7500 volumes, books, reports, etc. It also have subscribed to 50 journals and magazines and daily newspapers. It also has a computer centre equipped with twenty computer and printing facilities. The classrooms of this institution are spacious and well-furnished and equipped with audio-visual aids. Other facility includes auditorium, sports and recreation facility, hygienic maintained canteen, medical facility, etc.

Programmes

Assam Institute of Management, Guwahati runs Post Graduate Diploma in Management Programme (PGDM) in Business Management. The duration of this programme will be two years consists of total six semesters.

Placement

The training and placement department of this institution manages and regulates all the act ivies related to students placement and training. Many companies like ITC, Fritolays, Coca Cola, Philips, HP, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and many others have visited for campus interviews. The TP cell organizes group discussion, placement counselling, campus interviews, mock tests, personality development classes, etc.
