Army College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi

Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS), New Delhi is the pre-eminent institution of medical promoted by the Army Welfare Education Society. The institution was established in the year 2008. It imparts the quality medical pedagogy to the wards of serving and retired Indian army people. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), accredited as “A+” and affiliated to the Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi.

Campus

The campus of ACMS is situated in Brar Square, New Delhi. It is located near the Base hospital Delhi Cantt. It has the excellent infrastructure supported by all the necessary facilities. The serene atmosphere of campus provides the perfect environment for studies.

Facilities

The campus is well provided with a variety of facilities. The hostel complex consists of boys and girls hostel furnished with the spacious dining hall. Facility of fitness centre in each hostel is available. Indoor and outdoor games facility that includes volleyball court, basket ball court and badminton court. The students can also take the benefit of wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) to get access to internet. There is a cafeteria in the campus that serves various types of refreshments and snacks to the students.

Programmes

Army College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi offers only undergraduate courses in the field of medicine. It provides Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree after the successful completion of course. MBBS is the undergraduate programme leads to the degree in medical field. The duration of this course is 5.5 years (4.5 years academic learning+1 year internship).
