Armed Forces Medical College, Pune

Armed Forces Medical College, Pune was established in the year 1948. The institution is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and approved by Medical Council of India (MCI) for conducting undergraduate and various post-graduate medical courses. The institution offers a variety of undergraduate courses in nursing, medicine and related areas and also offers postgraduate courses in all the basic clinical medical specialties.

Campus

The institution is located in Pune cantonment area. The campus is designed in keeping in mind the requirements of a medical college and provides a perfect ambience to the students for their overall development and education.

Facilities

Various necessary facilities are provided by the institution such as well-established classrooms with the facility of over head projectors and LCD. The institution has a well-facilitated computer centre. It provides separate well-furnished hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostels are well-equipped with recent amenities and afford a fit atmosphere with wonderful living condition. The Institution has an air-conditioned digital library which consists of textbooks, national and international journals, reference books, e-journals, periodicals, magazines and newspapers. Programmes

Armed Forces Medical College offers degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme. The duration of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme is five and a half years with the compulsory rotational training of one year.
