Anand Niketan College of Agriculture, Chandrapur
Anand Niketan College of Agriculture, Chandrapurwas laid down on 1965 which is run by the Maharogi Sewa Samiti Anandwan, Warora. The College is affiliated to Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education Research Pune and Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola. The College is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
Campus
In the beginning, the college was a part of Anand niketan College of Arts, Commerce and Science affiliated to Nagpur University. In 1969 the college acquired its separate entity. The campus of the college is situated in the urban area of Maharashtra. It has all amenities available inside the campus boundaries. The College is located in the Anandwan, Warora, Chandrapur, Maharashtra.
Facilities
The College is equipped with well-furnished laboratories, a rich library, sprawling fields and a gymkhana. The College has various laboratories for the students belong to different departments of the agriculture. It has a central library and departmental libraries to provide access to the students. The library holds the books, journals, databases, audiovisuals, e-books, e-journals, reports, etc. There is also a transport facility for a day scholar and faculty of the college. The Medical facility is also available in the college campus.
Programmes
Currently, the college offers four years of Bachelor Degree in Agriculture with eight semesters of academic programme. The entire admission process is conducted online in the month of June and July. The College has an intake capacity of 96 students from the jurisdiction of Dr. PDKV Akola. The students are allotted college in accordance with their merit position.
