Aman Bhalla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pathankot
Aman Bhalla Institute of Engineering and Technology, (ABIT) Pathankot is a self-supporting, self-financed and privately managed institute, established in the year 2008. The college was established under the aegis of Aman Bhalla Foundation with the aim of providing high quality education in Engineering and Technology to the students of the country. The college is approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar. The college has collaboration with many international universities like Wayne State University, Asian Institute of Technology, Washburn University, Kansas, USA.
Campus:
The ABIT is located is located at Amritsar-Jammu National highway, Pathankot in Punjab. The college has well equipped infrastructure and provides all major facilities. The college is located at a distance 10 km from railway station, and located close to bus stand.
Programmes:
The college is offering five courses in the graduate engineering discipline with the total intake capacity of 420 students.
Students and Faculty:
The college has more than 60 well qualified and dedicated faculty members, which help the students in their academics, project work and research work. The students of the college have been placed in many well reputed organization.
Facilities:
The major facilities provided by the college include well equipped labs and laboratories, computer centre with well equipped hardware and software, canteen and mess facility, well stocked library with a collection of 57000 volumes of books and about 5000 back volumes of scientific and technical periodicals. The library also has 271 journals of which 21 are international journals. The other facilities provided by the college are sports, hostel and transportation.
Placement:
The Training and placement cell of the college plays the key role in preparing the students for the market. The cell provides assistance in the training and placement related activities. The cell provides a platform for the budding technocrats to easily enter into the service/development sector after the completion of their respective courses.
