Agricultural College and Research Institute (AC & RI), Vazhavachanur

Agricultural College and Research Institute (AC & RI), Vazhavachanur, Thiruvannamalai District is a constituent college of Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore and it was started functioning since 2014. The college is presently catering the quality education. The agriculture course offered by the college is approved by ICAR.

Campus

The college is situated on Thiruvannamalai-Kallakuruchi highway and located 22 kms south of Thiruvannamalai town. The residential campus is offering B.Sc agriculture programme which is a 4 year degree course. 110 acres of land is allotted to the college by the state seed farm Vazhavachanur.

Facilities

The college has agriculture meteorology, soil science and agricultural chemistry laboratory, agricultural microbiology laboratory and other standards instruments pertaining to each course. Computer lab with Wi-Fi facility, well-established gymnasium and sports are available in the campus. The library is equipped with numbers of reference books and e-journals. Separate boys and girls hostel facility is available in the campus.

Programmes

The Agricultural College and Research Institute (AC & RI), Vazhavachanur offers only one degree courses in agriculture. It offers Undergraduate course in Bachelor of agriculture in its campus. The course offered in the college is of full time courses with intake capacity of 60 students per year. Eligibility for admission in above course is 10+2 with minimum 60% score with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The course offered by college is:
