Buddha Institute of Technology, Gorakhpur

Buddha Institute of Technology (BIT) was established in the year 2009 as a private and self-financed institution set up by the People Educational Society. The college is affiliated to the UP technical University. The BIT is approved by the AICTE, MHRD, New Delhi and State Government of UP.

Campus:

The BIT is situated on the National Highway-28 (Gorakhpur – Lucknow Road) in Sector-7, Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority, in Gorakhpur, the district of UP. The campus is spread over an area of 14 acres of Eco-friendly land. The campus is 10 km away from the Gorakhpur Railway Station and 18 km from the Gorakhpur Airport. The campus is accessible from the nearby cities by the roads and rail.

Programmes:

The BIT is offering the 4 year full-time B.Tech degree programmes in the five disciplines of engineering and technology. The college provides the scholarship and educational loan to meritorious and economical week students.

Students, Faculty & Staff:

The college offers more than 700 seats for admission in all departments. The college has around 63 faculty members and 25 technical and non-technical staff.

Facilities:

The BIT has spacious classrooms, library, workshops, laboratories, conference hall, separated hostel for boys and girls, mess, bank, post office, daily need shop, transportation, cafeteria, security and medical facility.

Placement:

The BIT has a well-established training and placement cell which is assisting students to develop their academic and career interest, decision-making skills and personality skills. The cell also provides the summer trainings and internship. The three best students will be sent to USA every year for third year summer training.

The college organizes various academic, social and cultural programmes as co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
