NEET Dress: NTA has set a few guidelines that candidates must follow during the NEET registration process and while appearing for the exam.
One of the rules that candidates need to adhere to is following the NEET 2025 exam dress code. Candidates are not allowed to wear just anything.
While appearing for the national-level medical exam, candidates must wear simple and decent clothes. However, if any candidate wishes to wear cultural or customary attire at the examination center, they must mention it in their NEET application form.

Many candidates have questions like, “Can I wear a Burkha, hijab, turban, kirpan, kada, etc. in the NEET exam?” If you are among them, the answer is yes. Candidates who wish to wear cultural or customary attire at the exam center are allowed to do so, but they must have permission from the NTA.
Interested candidates are required to tick ‘Yes’ to the question, “Do you intend to wear customary dress or follow a specific dress code while appearing in NEET UG 2025?” during the registration process.
Aspirants will have two options: Yes or No. Those who select Yes will need to arrive at the exam center earlier than those who select No. Candidates who select Yes must arrive at the exam center by 12:30 PM so that the authorities have enough time to check their attire and any cultural items they may be carrying..
The registration for NEET UG 2025 last date to apply, is today 7th March 2025. Once the application window closes, no forms will be accepted by the authorities.
After registration, the NEET application correction window will open from 09th to 11th March 2025, allowing candidates to edit their forms. However, not all fields will be editable, so it is important to fill the form correctly the first time.
Candidates whose application forms are correctly filled will be allowed to appear for the exam. According to the NEET UG information bulletin, the exam will take place on 4th May 2025 in pen-and-paper mode.
