State Exam
Admission to the B.Tech courses of various government and non-government colleges/universities will be made through JEE Main 2016 and UPSEE 2016 which is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Some other private universities/colleges conduct their own entrance exam.
B.Tech Admission 2016
Those candidates who want to take admission in B.Tech courses of various government and non-government colleges/universities of Uttar Pradesh state must appear in the JEE Main 2016 exam or UPSEE 2016 exam. The application form has been available through online process. Thousands of students appear on these exams for their B.Tech admission. Candidates are advised to read out the eligibility terms before filling the application form. The eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech courses are mentioned below:
- Candidates have to pass their SSE exam or equivalent exam from a recognized board with securing 45% marks for general category candidates and 40% for SC/ST category.
- Physics and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects along with any one of Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science and Biology in the 12th or equivalent exam.
- Candidates must pass JEE Main 2016 exam or UPSEE 2016 exam with a good rank.

- 10th and 12th or equivalent exam mark sheet
- JEE Main 2016 or UPSEE 2016 exam score card
- Domicile certificate
- Reserved category certificate (if applicable)

Selection Process
Admission in various government and non government colleges/universities will be done on the basis of JEE Main 2016 or UPSEE 2016 exam and marks scored in class 12th and equivalent exam. For admission candidates are needed to pay the counselling fee and after the fee payment candidates have to choose the colleges/universities where the candidates want to take admission. After this allotment of the seat will be done according to the JEE Main 2016 or UPSEE 2016 exam and marks scored in class 12th. After the allotment of seats candidate have to report to the allotted college/university for fee payment and documents verification.

If n all states selection is through JEE Mains then what is the use of filling state examination for engineering like UPSEE, HPCET

Besides the all India quota every state has its own seats that would be filled by state level exam.
