UPSC Exam Instructions: The Union Public Service Commission has announced guidelines for the upcoming National Defence Academy and Combined Defence Services examination.
NDA 2025 and CDS 2025 examinations will take place on April 13, 2025. Candidates who will be taking the examination are required to follow a set of rules and guidelines set by the UPSC.
Violating any of the instructions will lead to exam cancellation. Details regarding the examination guidelines have been released through the NDA and CDS notification at upsc.gov.in
NDA 2025 & CDS 2025 Exam Hall Guidelines
On the examination day, appearing candidates are required to follow the given instructions:
Required Documents To Carry
All the candidates have to carry their NDA 2025 admit card and CDS 2025 admit card on the exam day. No one will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the hall ticket. Along with this, you are also required to carry one ID proof and two passport-size photographs.
What is allowed to carry
Only a few things are permitted inside the examination hall. Candidates can take their clipboard or hard board (on which nothing is written), a good quality Black Ball Pen for marking responses on the Answer Sheet. An Answer Sheet and a sheet for rough work will be supplied by the invigilator.
What is not allowed to carry
The non-permitted articles in the NDA and CDS examination center are the following:
- Electronic Devices: This includes mobile phones, digital watches, Bluetooth devices, pagers, and any other communication devices.
- Valuable Items: Any costly or valuable items should not be brought to the examination center.
- Study Materials: Books, bags, notes, loose sheets, and any form of study materials are not allowed.
- Calculating Instruments: Electronic calculators, mathematical and drawing instruments, log tables, stencils of maps, slide rules, and any other similar items are prohibited.
- Previous Test Materials: Test booklets and rough sheets from earlier sessions are not permitted.

Note: There is not going to be any locker or safekeeping arrangement at the examination venue to keep any of the candidate’s belongings. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
Candidates going to take the CDS & NDA 2025 session 1 examination are advised not to break any of the instructions, as if any candidate is found breaking any instructions, they will be banned from future examinations, and strict action will be taken.
