TANCET Eligibility 2025
Before filling the TANCET 2025 application form, students should check the TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2025 whether they are eligible to apply or not.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria given below are eligible to apply for TANCET. The detailed eligibility criteria for various courses offered under this exam are mentioned below:
Qualification Eligibility:
For MBA (Master of Business Administration):
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have bachelor’s degree of three-year duration from any recognised college.
- The above examination must be pass as 10+2+3/4 years pattern Or 10+3 years diploma +3 years pattern Or BE, B.Tech, B.Arch & B.Pharm Or 10+2+AMIE* Or 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*
- Percentage Criteria: Candidates must have secured 50% (45% for reserved categories).
For MCA (Master of Computer Application):
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have bachelor’s degree of three-year duration from any recognized college.
- Subject: Candidates must have Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
- Candidates should qualify the above examination as 10+2+3/4 years pattern Or 10+3 years diploma +3 years pattern Or 10+2+AMIE* Or 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*
- Percentage Criteria: Must have secured 50% (45% for reserved categories).
For MCA (Lateral Entry):
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed bachelor’s degree of three-year duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology/ Computer Science) from any recognised college.
- Subjects: Candidates must have Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
- Percentage Criteria: Must have secured 50% (45% for reserved categories).
For ME, M.Tech, M.Plan & M.Arch:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have a recognized bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
- Candidates should pass the above examination as B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Arch Or B.Pharm Or Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts which are prescribed Or 10+2+AMIE* or 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*
- Percentage Criteria: Must have secured 50% (45% for reserved categories).
- GATE Category: Candidates with valid GATE 2023, GATE 2024 or GATE 2025 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in the relevant discipline of Engineering /Technology, they don’t have a need to appear for TANCET 2025 exam. They can apply on the basis of GATE score card.
- TANCET Category: Candidates who have a valid GATE 2023, GATE 2024 or GATE 2025 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL), they have to appear for TANCET 2025 exam also.
Other Eligibility:
- Students appearing in the final semester/ year of the qualifying exam (except AMIE) during April/ May 2025 will also eligible to apply.
- Candidates from other states can also appear in this test, but the eligibility condition will be stipulated by the admitting university.
- Candidates who have obtained B.E/B.Tech degree through distance/weekend mode are not eligible to apply.
- Students who have qualified degree without passing 10th, 12th or 3 years degree programme are not eligible to apply.
- Students admitted through lateral entry in degree course are not eligible except, B.E, B.Tech & MCA degree programme.
TANCET 2025 Registration
