Punjab JET (Punjab Polytechnic) 2024 Seat Allotment (2nd Round) has been released on 16th August 2024. Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training organises the admission procedure for diploma courses in the state of Punjab. Earlier, the authority used to conduct entrance exam known as Punjab JET (Joint Entrance Test) for admissions. However, now the admission through the entrance test has been scrapped.

Admissions into diploma level Engineering / Pharmacy courses are now provided based on relative merit obtained in qualifying exam. Candidates can get admission in more than 130 government or private institutions located in the state of Punjab. Through this article we have provided complete details regarding Punjab JET 2024.

Punjab JET 2024 Registration

Know complete details about Punjab JET Registration 2024 in below given section:

• The application form for Punjab JET 2024 has been made available online from 7th June 2024.
• Complete details and link regarding the procedure of application form filling will be posted on website.
• Online application process will follow various steps – Online registration, filling personal/ qualification & other details, uploading of documents, fee payment & printing of application.
• Last date to register for round 1 is till 5th July 2024.
• Students must make sure to check complete eligibility before filling out the application form.
• No corrections in the details is allowed after final submission of form.

Application Fee:

• Punjab JET 2024 Registration fee is Rs. 550/-.
• Mode of Payment: Registration fee can be paid online and offline mode.
• Through online mode, it can be paid using debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ UPI.
• Through offline mode, it can be paid through demand draft.

Punjab JET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Before registering, students must know Punjab JET Eligibility Criteria 2024:

For Diploma Level Engineering Courses:

• Candidates must have passed 10^th/ SSC exam prescribed by AICTE from a recognized board.
• Admission will be provided on the basis of relative merit of candidates in qualifying exam.
• Candidates from within the State of Punjab, 85% seats will be reserved for them in Engineering diploma. Rest 15% seats will be open to all candidates from outside Punjab.
• Those who fall under the category of 85% seat reservation (resident of Punjab) are required to submit domicile certificate.

For Diploma Pharmacy:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 exam prescribed from a recognized board.
• Students shall have passed their 10+2 level (Science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics subjects OR
• Candidates must have any other qualification approved by Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to above exam.
• Admission will be provided on the basis of relative merit of candidates in qualifying exam.
• 85% seats are reserved for the candidates from within state of Punjab and 15% shall be open to candidates outside Punjab on All India basis.
• Those who fall under the category of 85% seat reservation (resident of Punjab) are required to submit domicile certificate.

Punjab JET 2024 Merit List

Admission into Punjab Polytechnic or Punjab JET 2024 is provided through relative merit of candidates obtained in 10+ 2 level. Separate merit lists has been released for Engineering and Pharmacy courses.

The Punjab JET Merit List has been published on the website on 16th July 2024. It has been made available for separate rounds. On the basis of final merit list, students are able to participate for further counselling rounds.

Reservation Policy

Based on reservation policy of government for admission in various diploma /polytechnic courses, the seats will be allocated. It will vary for various categories – OBC (5%), ST/ SC (25%), Sports person (2%), Disabled person (3%), Border areas/ backward areas (4%), Children /grandchildren of freedom fighters (1%).

As per the reservation policy, those who are applying for it have to provide proof of their category by showing valid certificates at the time of verification.

Punjab JET 2024 Counselling

After the release of merit list, the shortlisted candidates have called for further Punjab JET Counselling Procedure. The complete counselling is organized in various rounds. Counselling has been started from 7th June 2024.

Students during counselling process are required to fill choices, get shortlisted in the allotment result and then pay fee for confirmation of their seats.

Punjab JET Admission 2024

Final Admission into Punjab JET will be done after the completion of whole admission process. Only the shortlisted ones will be permitted admission into their selected courses.

Students are required to verify their documents to conclude the admission process. In case any fault is found out in documents as per the details entered by students in application, the candidature will be cancelled at once.
