NEET Update: Candidates who will be taking the National Eligibility cum Entrance test are required to follow a few instructions in the examination hall including mandatory face verification.
NEET 2025 is set to be held on 04th May 2025. The National Testing Agency has changed the examination mode from computer-based tests to pen-paper-based tests.
Along with the change in NEET exam pattern, the authority has added a new rule that examination would be videographer. The core aim behind face verification and videography is to prevent impersonation, enhance security measures, and maintain fairness.
What is NTA Face Verification Rule?
National Testing Agency has established a face verification regulation for the NEET exam. As the number of aspirants appearing in the exam is very high and to avoid impersonation, fake documents, and identity fraud, this decision has been taken.
Earlier, there were instances where dummy candidates sat for the test, or some candidates brought fake documents with them, or simply some others were employed to appear for the test in their place. It resulted in stricter conditions. To make the test transparent and fair, face verification will now be compulsory.
Will There Be a Camera In NEET Exam Hall?
Yes, as per the NEET UG 2025 information bulletin, chapter 7 under 7.1.11 The conduct of the NEET (UG) – 2025 Examination will be videographed.
The candidates are required to keep their heads in an upright position and face the camera during the videography so that their identities can be established. The candidates should agree to the videography during the examination.

Candidates should note that the NEET 2025 registration is ongoing and candidates applying as a part of the application process are required to attach a photograph to the form. So they are advised to attach their latest photograph.
Aspirants should also not make any changes to their looks or appearance before the NEET examination as changes in looks may cause cancellation of the examination.
All the NEET aspirants are required to follow instructions and guidelines instructed by the NTA, If any candidate is found breaking any rule, or disagreeing with the examination of that candidate, their examination will be cancelled, and action will be taken.
