The education minister has released the NIRF rankings 2024, as many as 10,885 applications were received this year. Below are the key highlights of the rankings.
- IIT Madras ranked as the best Higher Education Institute in India.
- IISC Bengaluru ranked as the best university.
- IIT Madras has also been ranked as the best engineering college, followed by IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay.
- IIM Ahmedabad secures the top spot in the management category, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode.
- In top college rankings, Hindu College is ranked at number 1 position, with Miranda House in the second position and St. stephen’s college at 3rd.
- In the research category, IISc Bengaluru secures rank 1, IIT Madras at second rank & rank 3 is IIT Delhi
This year three new categories have been introduced, namely ‘open universities’, ‘Skill universities’ and ‘State funded government universities’.
